Sensomotoric stimulation and exercise tutorials on the gym ball

DESCRIPTION:

These physiotherapeutic procedures are using neural receptors in the joint capsules, muscles, tendons, ligaments (proprioceptors). Stimulation of these receptors leads to activation of the muscles, muscle chains, in a way so it would lead to correct body posture and fixation of the correct movement patterns. It uses: unstable surfaces, balance boards, special carpets, balls…

WHEN TO USE:

By clients with functional illness of the musculoskeletal system, neurological illness, orthopedic diagnosis, after injuries, damaged joints, scoliosis, etc…

WHEN IT’S NOT RECOMMENDED:

In individual cases. In acute phases of painful conditions, during illness. During heavy neurological sickness when neuromuscular coordination of the person is strongly damaged.
