Soft and Mobilizing techniques according to MUDr. Karel Lewit

(MUDr. Karel Lewit, born 25.4.1916.)

IMG 2022DESCRIPTION:

We relieve and mobilize the soft tissues (skin, hypodermis, fascia, muscles), joint capsules, ligaments, tendons, cartilages. Part of the soft techniques is also stretching and positional relaxation. Between these techniques for relieving the blocked joints also belongs often used “post-isometric relaxation” and “joint play”. Thanks to the soft techniques we can reveal the HAZ (hyperalgesic zones), which are removed.

WHEN TO USE THIS METHOD:

With clients who have problems with painful conditions of the movement system, muscle tension, muscle spasm, post-operational conditions, decreased joint mobility, joint blockage with various cause (structural or functional - for example: swelling).

WHEN IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO APPLY THIS METHOD:

During some acute conditions (inflammation, fever condition, during illness, etc…).
