Hatha yoga

Hatha yoga is one of the specific kinds of yoga, focused on attaining strong will and self-restraint. It is a system, whose main components are positions (asanas), controlling breath (pranayama) and calming the mind (meditation). Hatha yoga represents exercising program leading to tenacity. The goal of this composition is cleansing the body and soul. Important thing is that the exercising positions, breathing and cleansing exercises have to be performed very slowly, step by step and frequently as well. Organism cannot be overloaded to exhaustion after exercising. The first records about hatha yoga come from the 8th century B.C.

Hatha yoga serves as a prevention, physiotherapy and treatment for:

  • High blood pressure
  • Asthma bronchiale
  • Vertebrogenic illness
  • Orthopedic disorders
  • And for many “civilizational” illnesses caused by regulative disorders of the physiological functions.

  • Negative inductions - e.g. irritating of the digestive tract has reflexive effect on lowered irritation of the respiratory system
  • Lowered irritation of the mucosa and reflexive zones
  • Muscle relaxation
  • Overloading of the parasympathetic nervous system
  • Supported exclusion from the glands with inner secretion
  • Conditional reflexes
  • Concentration
  • Changed breathing and heart rhythm
