Exercising according to Klapp's method - kyphotic walk on knees with arm movement

Goal of the exercise:

  • Improved mobility of the spine
  • Improved stability of the trunk and pelvis

  • Kneel down and slightly spread your legs apart, keeping a good posture
  • Lift your arms up horizontally
  • Your palms should face forward

  • Step forwards with your left knee
  • Bend your right elbow
  • Move the right arm towards your stomach
  • Move your left arm behind you
  • Bow down and bend your cervical spine to the left as much as possible
  • Keep your shoulders in a horizontal position

  • Repeat the same on the other side
  • Repeat the whole exercise

Common mistakes

  • Bending the spine in your lower back
  • Tilting the pelvis forward

How often to exercise

  • You can exercise daily
  • At first do 4-6 repetitions, later add more repetitions
