First aid: Pain in the foot and heel

Even though feet cover only a few cm2 of the total surface of your body, your whole weight rests on them. It is your feet that have the contact with the surface of the ground, that is why their function is so crucial and important for our whole body. If you feel pain in your feet or heels, we present you several exercises, that might help your from pain.

Thanks to this exercise you can stretch out and relax your feet, or activate the muscles holding the transverse and longitudinal arches of the foot.

This exercise will thoroughly stretch your calf muscles and the achilles tendons. Exercise it before and after every physical activity, sport (running, cycling, tourism, …). If you will do this exercise often and regularly, you will prevent overloading in the calf muscles, formation of heel spurs, damage of soft tissues in knee etc…
