Exercising according to Klapp’s method - walking on knees

Goal of the exercise:

  • Stretching the trunk
  • Straightening and mobilization of the spine
  • Centration of the shoulder joints
Default position
  • Kneel down, slightly spread your legs, and keep the correct posture
  • Stretch your arms up horizontally
  • Direct your palms forwards
Phase 1
  • Bend your trunk horizontally
  • Stretch your head as far as possible
  • Make sure your head is straight
  • Stretch up your arms to the level of your shoulders
Phase 2
  • Step forward with your left knee
  • Move your arm fast down alongside your body, and at the same time move your body horizontaly to the left and down
Phase 3
  • Do the same with the other side, keep in mind that the movement will start from your right knee
  • Repeat the whole exercise

Common mistakes

  • Lifting up your shoulders
  • Insufficient bow
  • Losing the trunk line
  • Bending your head back and forth
  • Joining knees together

How often to exercise

  • You can exercise daily
  • At first don’t exercise as much, later you can add on
