Exercising according to Klapp's method - crawling in kneeling position

Goal of the exercise:

  • Straightening and mobilization of the spine
  • Centration of the shoulder joint
Default position
  • Kneel down on all fours
  • Bend both arms in 90 degree angle, that way you will be able to spread your arms even more, and go into a kneeling-push-up position
Phase 1
  • Start the movement with left arm, spread it forwards to the left side, which will move your right arm in the opposite direction
  • Move your right knee forward
  • Lengthen your spine forwards and stretch your head out
Phase 2
  • Return back to the default position
  • Do the same on the other side
  • Repeat the whole exercise

Common mistakes

  • Incorrect arm position
  • Absent right angle in the shoulder joints
  • Wrong body line
  • Bending the head back and forth

How often to exercise

  • You can exercise daily
  • At first don’t exercise as much, later you can add on
